Behind every branding iron, there is a team working with heart, mind, and a good deal of manual skill.

In the office, Jessica & Nina are at the helm. They take care of your order, create engraving templates and creative social media posts, and are always there for you when you have questions or need support. Whether by phone or email – here, service is still taken personally.

In the workshop, Andy & Co. ensure that your wishes become reality. From the first milling process to the final polish, each branding iron is created with the utmost care – with genuine craftsmanship and directly on-site. We focus on precision, quality, and that certain degree of attention to detail that is evident in each of our products.

Our goal is not just to provide you with a branding iron, but a tool that perfectly represents your brand, your craft, or your project – a piece of genuine craftsmanship "Made in Germany".

Jessica & Nina are the voices on the phone and the brains behind the office operations. They are in direct contact with our customers, advise, help, and always keep an overview of orders and engraving templates.

They also take care of marketing and ensure that everything runs smoothly for us – day after day.

Since 1919, our primary goal has been to provide you with the best branding tools available on the market. We are the sole manufacturer of the legendary ALK branding irons.

Our products have been manufactured in Kiel, Northern Germany , since the beginning and sold to customers all over the world.

What makes our products so unique is the exceptionally good quality , the high wattage , and our many years of experience in stamp production.

You can use our products for the permanent marking of a wide variety of materials such as wood, plastic, leather, or cardboard. Some of our customers use ALK branding irons for marking according to international requirements such as the IPPC standard . Others use them for their company logo or to secure company property .

There are no limits to the creative possibilities for advertising purposes – and much more.

1919

When our predecessors sat down together in 1919 to found a new company, they committed themselves to delivering the best possible quality at all times.

Even today, this principle is of utmost importance to us – along with the conviction that good performance can only be achieved with a strong team and that only self-built products are truly perfect .

Development

1945

Over the decades, Norddeutsche Apparatebau has built up a wide range of quality products – all with a common core: electric heating appliances .

Some of today's components are still based on the original drawings from 1945. And although communication, distribution, and much more have changed, ALK branding dies are still just as innovative and reliable today as they were in their early days .

Looking forward

2014

The last change in leadership in March 2014 was accompanied by the introduction of a modern production process – including CAD design and CNC machining, which paved the way for scaling our output in the future.
All of us at Norddeutsche Apparate-Bau thank Jutta and Peter Lyck for their many years of work and assure them that we will continue their values and intentions for many more decades – for our company, but above all for you as a valued customer and partner.

milestone

2017

In 2017, we decided to leave our increasingly cramped premises at the Kiel fish market . On the one hand, we were sad to leave , as the location on the Kiel Fjord had been an integral part of our history – on the other hand, we were very excited because our new building finally allowed us to meet all our requirements for efficient production .

After only six months of construction, we were able to start production at the new location .
