What distinguishes ALK branding irons from others?

How do I find the right branding iron size?

First, select a suitable fire plate from the product list. For the plate size, calculate 1mm side clearance in all
Directions. Example: 70×70 burning plate with a motif size of max. 68×68. Then select the corresponding stamp. You can also insert type inserts such as letters or numbers into a burning plate that has already been milled (single line or multiple lines).

I already have a branding iron from you. Can I order a new branding plate with engraving and use it myself?

Yes, this is possible with ALK branding irons. Please note that
that not all ALK burning plates are compatible with all ALK branding irons

How can I control the temperature to mark different materials?

Different heat inputs are required for marking different materials: A reduced temperature protects the marking from burning (leather) or melting (plastic). To regulate the temperature, we also offer a changeover controller. This is simply connected between the branding iron and the socket so that the heat can be controlled using a manual controller. This means you can mark all the materials you want.

Since 1919, our primary corporate goal has been to provide you with the finest burning tools available.
We are the only manufacturer of the legendary ALK branding irons, which you can find in stores under this and sometimes other names.
From the very beginning, our products have been manufactured in Kiel, Northern Germany and sold to customers all over the world.

What makes our products so unique is their exceptionally good quality, high wattage and our many years of experience in stamp production.

Our products can be used to permanently mark a wide variety of materials such as wood, plastic, leather or cardboard. Some of our customers use ALK branding stamps to mark international requirements such as the IPPC standard. Others use our stamps for their company logo or to secure company property. There are also no limits to the creative possibilities for advertising purposes. And much more.

Our history

founding

1919

When our predecessors sat down together in 1919 to form a new company, they committed themselves to delivering the best possible quality at all times. This principle remains of utmost importance to us today, along with our other principle that good performance can only be achieved with a good team and the belief that only self-made products can be perfect.

Development

1945

Over the decades, Norddeutsche Apparatebau has been able to build up a wide range of quality products, all of which are based on electric heaters. Some of today's components are still based on the drawings from 1945. And while communication, distribution and much more have changed, ALK branding irons are as cutting edge today as they were in the early days.

Looking forward

2014

The latest change in management took place only recently (March 2014). This was accompanied by the introduction of a modern production process including CAD design and CNC machining, which paved the way for future output scaling. All of us at Norddeutsche Apparatebau thank Jutta and Peter Lyck for their many years of work and assure us of continuing their intentions for many more decades. For our company, but even more so for our valued customers and partners. Let us continue the tradition of ALK stamps together!

milestone

2017

In 2017, we decided to leave the increasingly limited space at the Kiel fish market. On the one hand, it was a bitter pill to swallow, as the location on the Kiel Fjord was an integral part of our history, but on the other hand, our new building enabled us to meet all of our requirements for efficient production. After just 6 months of construction, we were able to start production at the new location.
